Day off

On this day off from work, I first planted the tomatoes, pepper and beans I purchased yesterday. Yes, yes late as ever, but I finally had my hands in the soil, digging and planting. Later I went to the gym. The reader actually accepted my card. I joined a weight training class even though It had already started. Was totally motivated, the instructor was not a “spring chicken”‘ she kept going with Gaga’music pumping. I headed for the threadmill and walked for 1.2 miles. The older folks should have exited the pool by now. Yes they exited but was replaced by an assorted bunch of middle aged swimmers/walkers.got into the pool and did a few laps. Left the gym and the phone rang… Had to pick up my husband. He caught me in mid stride contemplating going to have breakfast at a diner.
Well Venus and Mars did align if only for today, he is hungry too and did not want to go home to be fed, so we went to a cafe for brunch. Back home now and enjoying the sleepy slow afternoon blogging.
Had a dentist appointment, good news, teeth, gums jaw all good. Needed clearance so that my treatment begins. A spot of good news, I’ll take it. Later.

MM Sunday

You all know what I do on Sunday. Yes, yes I go to church. There is a cool breeze blowing and just that calm that descends on the burbs on Sunday. With an expectant air and a quick step I am off to church. Seeing the faces that I have grown accustomed to seeing, beautiful smiles and hugs and greetings just add that something special to why I go to church.
We all know that God is everywhere, but as a child, my younger sister confided in me that the rock outside of the cathedral in St.George’s was actually the rock that Jesus referred to… You know. It’s not factual, but if that was comforting to her, I left it alone, just chuckled to yourself. Now that she is gone, I often remember these things very fondly, especially as I head out to church.
I have some pressing things to do today, now listen don’t laugh , but I have to plant my vegetables , I know, but it is better late than never. I am off to Home Depot. You know it, I am feeling great today. Later

O Lord, my Lord how excellent is your name. Already did 10 a 15 minutes weight lifting, cleaned a and mopped the kitchen and bathrooms. Feeling great, now it’s off to the job for a few hours…s to keep NY’s lights on. I’ll add more of the day. Just fighting the good fight. This sickness is not unto death …Feeling great and the journey continues. Later.

It was a long day at work, I am very tired and feeling those pains and needles again . Don’t want to contribute these feelings to MM. Will fight through this feeling and start tomorrow with a clean slate. Signing off!

Journey – Day 3

Still trying to find out the mechanics of blogging, posting, following nod checking in.  There will be lots of new things to learn and experience.  Today I remember traveling to Israel and visiting the Dead Sea.  I can still feel the stillness, the joy we all experienced, me and the fellow travelers.  Now I must set my sites on a new place to travel to… Maybe Iceland? Peru?

Today I am determined to enjoy the day, give thanks, do a modicum of exercise, write, paint, love.  Later.

Day 2

An early riser, up by 5:00 am, praying and meditating.  It’s a great feeling that you are alive, no aches and pains, only the minor feelings like pin pricks on parts of my body.  I have attributed this to nerves.  Had my breakfast and on my way to work.  Feeling blessed, a few dollars in my wallet and a fresh salad and fresh tuna in my lunch bag, I can take on the world.

It is my belief that we are here to live while we are alive, make bold plans, think great thoughts, love always, give of yourself, and above all trust in God.  There is a song by Faith Hill, can’t remember much but somewhere in the lyrics she said… Life is a good cup of coffee, I think she was unto something.  I made that good cup of coffee and my friend Jose bought biscotti… That is life.

Ta Ta, see you again tomorrow, when I learn to upload pictures… The journey continues.
